Hello Tide Family,

Hopefully everyone has recovered from an absolutely phenomenal weekend. Our entire program went with a record of 28 Wins, 2 Ties and 2 Losses with a count of 4 Golds and 1 silver. We also had a total of 28 athletes selected for the BC Bears camp at UBC next week. But, the most impressive aspect of the weekend was the Tide atmosphere we created off the field. Players, coaches and parents really brought Tide Town to the next level. Really, could any other region compete with our “Tunnels”? Hats off to all the parent volunteers who helped setup/break down every day and those that transported everything for us. I truly believe the Junior Tide community was stronger than ever this year and it showed on and off the field.

Thanks again to all of our generous sponsors who helped make this experience what it is. Please support them where possible. Our fishing charter raffle through Ocean Rambler was a success and thanks to all those that promoted it for us. Congrats to our winner Elaine Fitzgerald. Please help continue to support this program by keeping an eye out for future raffles and 50/50’s and share within your circles. This program has potential to grow and with your support it will. The return of a 7’s program and U20 men’s program are just a few of the things we are working on now. Who’s to say we can’t take this show on the road with tours in the future.

PRC 7’s August 18th-19th Westshore Rugby Club and Starlight Stadium. This tournament is open to girls born 2008-2009 and boys 2006-2007. Please keep an eye on social media, our website and emails for details on registration and tryouts for this tournament. We are finalizing the coaching staffs now. The plan for BC Rugby is to potentially add all age groups to this tournament next year.
