Dear Rugby Athlete:

We would like to inform you that you are eligible to play U19 Tide and compete in the Dundar Keg competition. We are asking all male athletes born 2004-2006 to come out and be a part of this program.

The Dunbar Keg competition will feature teams from South Vancouver Island Tide, North Island Tsunami, Fraser Valley Rugby Union and Vancouver Wave. BC Rugby will be the only provincial rugby union with a best-on-best Regional “U20” competition that is strategically placed ahead of the annual Rugby Canada U20 Program selection and campaign. This competition directly benefits BC Rugby Senior Fall Leagues with development for all eligible athletes that can play for their respective clubs once this program finishes in October.

Our Head Coach Eric Slade will be supported by a strong team of assistants; Casey Reed, Will Ballard, Denver Fatt and James Pitblado.

All training sessions will take place at Uvic Field 8 located at the corner of Gordon Head Rd and McCoy Rd. Full game schedule on our U19 program page.

We ask all eligible athletes to still register for the 2023/24 seasons with their respective clubs so that insurance coverage will be finalized through Sportlomo. All athletes new to the province can go through Sportlomo and select South Vancouver Junior Tide as their club if they have no affiliation or are attending UVic.
