Hello Junior Tide Athletes, Parents, Coaches, and Managers,

We are on the final countdown to the Provincial Regional Championships (PRCs) 2024!

PLEASE review these docs. The information Manual for Players is mandatory for all athletes to review.

This Wednesday July 3rd, we will be having our final practice, with a BBQ and Chek TV will be present from 5pm – 7pm filming and promoting Junior Tide Rugby live for their “Upside” segment! BBQ is free to players, coaches and managers.

We have changed our practices for tomorrow and they will be as follows:
U14 Boys and Girls practice 5:00pm – 6pm.  BBQ at 6pm
U18 Boys and Girls BBQ at 6:30pm.  Practice regular time of 7:30pm – 9pm.
U16 Boys and Girls practice 5:30pm – 7pm.  BBQ at 7pm.

On Thursday July 4th we will all meet at Swartz Bay at 12noon to check in for the 1pm ferry.

If you will not be taking the ferry with the group on July 4th or return July 7th, please inform your coaches/managers as soon as possible.

Some of our teams may be dressing in theme for the ride over.  If your team has not then we ask you to be wearing TIDE (not club) attire.  If you don’t have any Tide gear then anything RED works.

BC Rugby is teaming up with the ALS Society of BC this year on Saturday the 6th and are asking to help bring awareness by having everyone attentding the tournament to wear crazy socks for the day.  Dig up some loud socks everyone!!!! More info and donation page can be found here.

Player Kit which includes shorts/socks and a tide training top will be distributed at UBC the evening of Thursday July 4th. The 2024 Tide training shirt will be worn by all athletes to and during the tournament. All returning players last year’s shorts and training shirts are NOT PERMITTED during the day at UBC.  We have new sponsors this year and we only want them to be displayed on kit.  Jerseys will be distributed on game days.

We strongly suggest parents/spectators/athletes to download the “BC Rugby” app for your smartphones.  Scores/Schedules/Changes are updated constantly throughout the tournament.  Stay in the Know!
